Saint Patrick is the foremost patron Saint of Ireland. Therefore on the 17 of March every year, many people of Irish decent all over the world celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (even non-Irish people too). Since SIS at Vung Tau is an International school with students and staff members from around the world we strive to be Global Citizens. It is important for all students and staff to learn about and appreciate other cultures and traditions. As such the Kindergarten and Year 1 students joined forces to learn about and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. They learned new words and phrases such as leprechaun, shamrock, rainbow, and pot of gold. The students were very excited to learn more about different cultures and celebrate something new. It was a wonderful and an enriching experience for all involved!
