Singapore International School is committed to providing a safe, secure, and high quality learning environment in which students can develop their individual talents, interests and abilities through a curriculum that fosters the intellectual, physical, social and moral development of the student.
School excursions allow students to learn and develop skills in a real life context and are often linked to the current curriculum programme. These excursions are a valuable teaching and learning opportunity.
An excursion seeks to achieve meaningful educational outcomes:
- Stimulate and/or extend meaningful learning
- Widen students’ experiences beyond the classroom environment
- Develop students’ social interactions outside the school environment
- Apply and improve academic skills taught in the classroom
Excursions will be planned on a regular basis to provide students with additional, quality learning experiences.
