The excursion to the Dairy Farm and activities gave the students a better understanding of how food/milk arrives at their table. These processes are easy to dismiss if your family has no relationship with the food industry. Everyone should know where their food comes from. Showing students that in order to eat fish for lunch, it has to be caught, killed and cooked first. The activities brought a greater appreciation of dairy products and other foods.
